2 down

Last weekend was fantastic, I felt healthier than I have for about 6 months, maybe a little longer.

So I was quite cheerful when I went in for my second infusion of cytotoxic juice, aka chemo. While I was there, Nicky nicked off to have her hair done, she looks fabulous BTW; she referred to it as her 'appointment' because she felt it would be insensitive to say 'haircut' amongst a bunch of chemo patients loosing their hair. Made me chuckle.

The actual treatment went off without a hitch, but I have been brought back down to earth with a bump, and maybe a bounce or two. The after effects are compounded by the accumulation of junk and I have to admit that I am not up to much at the moment. I have all the right medications so it is totally manageable, and will probably pass in 3 or 4 days, but still, uurrrgh.

We have finally sorted out my disability pay and I should be getting my first check within the next couple of weeks, phew, I was beginning to wonder how I was going to pay the AppleTV bill.

We have yet to hear from BA regarding the refund of our flights, hopefully there will be some progress this week.

Right, I'm off to the couch to be waited on hand and foot.

NIIIIICCCCKKKKYYYYY, CHOCOLATE MILK, NOOOOOWWWW.

Justin,

Sounds like pretty good news. Keep it up!

I see your sense of humor is not adversely effected :)

Cheers,

Hang in there old chap, I'm glad to hear your recovery from the last session was so good. Time to hunkerdown (drink lots of water!) and get through this one.

Cheers,

Kev

I don't know why Nicky is the one who has to wait on you -- isn't that why you had kids? "Chocolate milk now, or you go back to the orphanage!"

Glad to hear you're keeping your spirits up. =)

What's Nicky's email address?

I'm going to advise her to unionize before this gets out of hand!

Deep,

There are 3 girls versus me, that almost constitutes a union.

Now where the clucking bell is my CHOCOLATE MILK.

FOMP, you know what I mean.

Hey Justin,
You've been on my mind and in my prayers. Keep up the good work! I think I mentioned I met you're twin in Seattle. He's not nearly as funny as you and he doesn't have your great accent, but hands down, you guys could be brothers. Hang in there.
Big hug,Suz

P.S. I think I sent this to your email too.

Justin old bean,

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Had a cracking day at work today, managed to cock-up at least 50 soldiers' pay accounts, feeling pretty chipper with myself. Free haircuts - nice one, I still have to pay through the nose every 2-weeks, some people have all the luck!

Speak soon buddy.

Haven't seen a post from you in a few days. Hope everything is going well. Being on chemo has been compared to riding a roller coaster. Sometimes, you can feel like you aren't in control. Better days are ahead for you.
